Job Description
Leads a team of D365 functional consultants to deliver defect-free, well-designed, and well-tested software.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* The MS D365 Solution Architect/Functional Lead maps specific business requirements to the functions of the MS D365 Finance & Operations system
* Effectively manage resources and costs through a Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 Finance & Operations migration project, twinned with a D365 Customer Engagement Platform implementation
* Apply knowledge to develop in and around the D365F&O solution as well as govern over and end-to-end solution design
* Partners with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements
* Plays a key role in leveraging partners and Microsoft Global Delivery as part of the overall Microsoft services delivery model
* Analyzes, documents, and tests program development, logic, process flows, and specifications
* Partners with business partners to design and monitor user acceptance testing
* Documents user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures
* Coordinates the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Responsible for adhering to delivery methodology and project life cycles
* Strong knowledge of waterfall, iterative, and agile project planning and management
* Responsible for managing onshore and offshore tactical and project teams made up of both technical and functional resources
* Maintains Business Process Models and Catalogs
* Identifies solution gaps and develops solution options
* Establishes an overview of the requirements defined by internal stakeholders including the definition of business, technical, and architectural requirements
* Recognizes any inconsistencies, assumptions, and critical elements
* Designs the end-to-end functional architecture and solution design
* Document, propose, and discuss the architecture and solution options, recommendations, and implications
* Facilitates and accelerates the decision process considering the company's business strategy, drivers and requirements, pain points, and challenges with the industry trends
* Provides oversight at various points throughout the program lifecycle including experience in multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource programs
* Possesses strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
* Possesses strong organizational, prioritization, planning, and follow-up skills
* Oversee the technical design process to ensure functional designs have been interpreted so and that requirements have been met with no gaps
