The Company:

A Norwegian scale-up with a global mission to revolutionize the construction industry by making it data-driven, reducing waste and increasing transparency. Their cloud-based collaboration platform includes a web app, mobile app, and APIs, used worldwide to improve the construction of airports, hospitals, stadiums, homes, and roads.



The Role:

My client are seeking a passionate Cloud Operations Engineer. In this role, you will define and lead the Cloud Operations function, improving infrastructure as part of a key growth phase.

Your goal will be to automate all manual and repetitive tasks, enabling the team to focus on product innovation. Strong coding skills are essential, as you will need to code the infrastructure to minimize manual intervention.

The role will involve close collaboration with the CTO and the entire Engineering team to ensure systems are operational and meet quality of service standards. This includes supporting and managing the DevOps on-call process.



The Person:

The company value a growth and learning mindset, where facing new challenges and learning new technologies is encouraged. While a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial, we prioritize skills and a positive attitude towards learning over formal education.



The Tech:

* Java Back End
* Javascript Front End with React and Typescript
* Mobile development (iOS and Android) and with React Native



Key Skills:

* Ability to lead and positively influence peers in decision-making processes.
* AWS experience
* Proficiency with Docker and containerized applications.
* Experience with Unix-based systems.
* Proven track record in building or fixing software in at least one major programming language.
* Expertise in operating and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.
* Experience with networking, CDN, gateways, and deployment strategies.
* Ability to operate and scale highly available infrastructure.
* Understanding of microservice-based architecture and operations.
* Advanced skills in debugging, logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Datadog.
