AWS Data Engineer

Role:

As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and deploying data products that power the applications, helping farmers improve their operations and supporting sustainability goals in the dairy and meat industry. Your responsibilities will include:

* Designing and implementing data transformations to create robust data products.
* Integrating diverse data sources to ensure seamless data flow.
* Implementing automated processes to maintain data quality.
* Building and deploying SQL / DBT work packages.
* Collaborating closely with R&D and application developers to fulfill their data needs.
* Documenting and managing data contracts to ensure clarity and consistency.



What We're Looking For

We need someone who is passionate about data and technology, with the following qualifications:

* A degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
* 3+ years of experience building data products using data platforms.
* High proficiency in SQL and experience with DBT.
* An engineering mindset with a deep understanding of how various systems fit together.
* Competency in Python; experience with Snowflake and ML Ops is a bonus.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data needs and solutions.
