Technical Pre-Sales Lead - Banking (Data Solutions Architect)

A leading global data and AI company is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Lead to join their Data Management practice. This is a strategic, client-facing role for a seasoned professional who can combine deep technical expertise with strong consulting and communication skills to drive large-scale data transformation initiatives within the banking sector.

Role Overview:
The Technical Pre-Sales Lead will partner with senior stakeholders to modernise data platforms, accelerate cloud adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role focuses on technical solution design, pre-sales leadership, and guiding enterprise data strategies while collaborating with delivery teams to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical pre-sales activities for banking clients, including responding to RFPs/RFIs and delivering senior-level presentations.
*

Design and architect end-to-end data and cloud solutions using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and technologies including Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or Azure Fabric.
*

Define cloud migration, modernisation, and optimisation strategies with experience in Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
*

Advise clients on reusable data products, modern data architectures, and transformation roadmaps.
*

Provide guidance on ETL/ELT frameworks and data engineering solutions using tools such as SSIS, ADF, Informatica, or IBM DataStage.
*

Establish data governance and quality frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance.
*

Lead workshops, technical discussions, and mentor cross-functional global teams.
*

Stay informed on emerging data, AI, and cloud trends to support strategic decision-making.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

*

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
*

Strong experience in BI/Data Warehousing/Analytics, including technical pre-sales or solution architecture experience, ideally within banking transformation programmes.
*

Proven experience engaging with C-level stakeholders and shaping winning solutions.
*

Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native architecture design.
*

Strong knowledge of banking, including commercial, retail, or investment banking, regulatory reporting, or finance transformation.
*

Hands-on enterprise data modelling experience (ERwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer, or similar).
*

Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
*

Preferred professional certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
