Power BI Developer / Power BI Specialist / Power BI Subject Matter Expert

An innovative and rapidly growing FinTech company based in Birmingham are looking for an enthusiastic Power BI Developer to join their expanding team. Once things return to normal, you are likely to be working in the office 3 days per week, with the remaining 2 days from home, so you must live within a commutable distance to Birmingham City Centre.

They consider themselves to be a real disruptor within their industry, and have a proven track-record of identifying and capitalizing on gaps in their market.

This is a brand-new role which has come about as a result of business growth and new client wins, making it a really exciting time to join the team.

You will act at the Power BI Specialist within the company, leading on the development of effective Power BI reporting solutions for both internal stakeholders and external clients. You will work in a multi-disciplined team of back-end and front-end developers, with the overall goal of creating new products and insightful ways of interacting clients' investment data.

This role is ideally suited to a seasoned Business Intelligence Developer with a background in data modelling, who is keen to step into a Power BI focused position. You should be comfortable working with complex datasets from a wide variety of sources, and should be comfortable advising clients on Power BI related matters such as data governance.


  • Significant Power BI Development experience including extensive use of DAX

  • Power BI Administration experience including setting up tenants and allocating licenses
    Strong SQL & T-SQL experience including writing complex queries and stored procedures

  • ETL experience ideally using SSIS

  • Experience working with Financial data would be desirable but not essential


  • Salary of £40,000-70,000 depending upon level of experience

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)
