Software Development Manager (Frontend) - Asker

Role: Frontend Manager

Location: Hybrid / Asker

Position: Fulltime / Permanent

This role is open to candidates who wish to take on personnel responsibility for the frontend team, as well as candidates who wish to still be hands-on in projects and take ownership of the technical and project environment without management responsibility. The exact role description and tasks can be variable and will be discussed in an interview

Leading a team of 7 frontend developers, and joining an environment of 20+ fullstack and backend developers, you will be responsible for defining and driving the technical vision and architecture of our frontend platforms

We specialise in delivering CRM solutions - we have worked with customers in various sectors including academia/education to deliver complex solutions for schools and universities, as well as small & large private companies in industries such as law & finance

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in mentoring developers, setting coding standards, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality user interfaces.

Your responsibilities can include:

* Define and maintain the architectural vision for frontend systems
* Develop and enforce frontend development standards and best practices
* Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of frontend applications
* Evaluate and integrate new technologies and frameworks to enhance our frontend capabilities
* Collaborate with backend architects to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
* Mentor and guide frontend developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement



We are looking for you to bring:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years experience within frontend development
* It is beneficial if you have previous leading or architectural responsibilities
* Expertise in modern frontend technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
* Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel)
* Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with integrating frontend applications with backend services
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
