Lead software engineer - Oslo

I'm helping my client find an experienced and talented fullstack developer to join their exciting customer journey further within modern information systems!

With them you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers, product managers and operations experts to further develop and deploy innovative solutions, that provide the opportunity to maximize the value of energy flexibility.

Their solutions and platform, which includes IoT devices, AI/Analytics, SaaS services in the cloud, are live in production for customers throughout the Nordic region. Not only will you play a crucial role in driving excellence in architecture design and solution implementation, but you'll also help expand your client's skilled team.

Responsibilities include:

* Contribute to efforts to improve software architecture and design to optimize quality, value and agility
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions
* Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code to meet technical and business requirements
* Ensure high performance and reliability through appropriate testing and monitoring processes
* Proactively identify and address technical and operational issues
* Contribute toward building and growing a culture of engineering excellence

Basic Qualifications Required:

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Informatics or equivalent
* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience as a full-stack developer (client, web, service, UX, model, data, cloud)
* Exceptional coding abilities and experience with architectural patterns of sophisticated, high-scale applications
* Excellence in software engineering practices, coding and solid foundation in data structures, algorithms with strong testing, debugging and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency with C# / .NET
* Proficiency with Web technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularJS, ReactJS, CSS/SCSS, etc.
* Proficiency with code versioning and collaboration tools such as Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps
* Experience in implementing continuous deployment, DevOps, automated testing platforms and unit tests
* Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns, SOLID principles, DDD, object-oriented programming, functional programming
* Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
* Solid understanding of core data technologies and patterns including storage applications, processing pipelines, etc.
* Experience in microservices, distributed systems, containers, and Kubernetes
* Passion for building software that is secure by design, in implementation and in operations
* Excellent problem-solving and verbal communication skills
* Experience with IoT / Edge computing and energy domain a plus
