A small Agile company Based iin central Finland, is looking for Master Data Management specialists to join their team!
Their experience includes working with global industrial companies and growing small and medium-sized enterprises alike. They design and implement software solutions for their customers - for embedded systems and for system level software. They also focus on helping our customers to navigate the challenges of software testing and training internal testing experts within organisations.
About the role
* Master Data Repository: Centralized storage for master data records, which serves as a single source of truth for the organization. Popular databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL can be used for this purpose.
* Data Integration Tools: These tools facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of master data from various source systems into the MDM repository. Examples include Informatica, Talend, and Microsoft SSIS.
* Data Quality Tools: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. These tools help identify and fix data quality issues. Informatica Data Quality, IBM InfoSphere QualityStage, and Talend Data Quality are examples.
* Data Governance Tools: Enable organizations to define and enforce data governance policies, rules, and standards. These tools help maintain data integrity and compliance. Examples include Collibra, Informatica Axon, and Talend Data Governance.
* Data Matching and Deduplication Tools: Identify and eliminate duplicate records within the master data repository. Tools like IBM InfoSphere MDM and Informatica MDM have built-in deduplication capabilities.
* Data Profiling Tools: Analyze data to discover its characteristics, anomalies, and relationships. Profiling tools help organizations understand their data and make informed decisions about data quality improvements.
* Data Security and Access Control Tools: Ensure that only authorized users have access to sensitive master data. Role-based access control and encryption solutions are commonly used for this purpose.
* Data Mastering Tools: These tools assist in creating a single, consolidated view of master data by merging, matching, and cleansing data from various sources. Informatica MDM, SAP Master Data Governance, and Talend MDM are examples.
* Data Governance Frameworks: Some organizations may use frameworks like Data Governance Maturity Models (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) to guide their MDM efforts and best practices.
* Metadata Management Tools: Manage metadata related to master data, including data lineage, data definitions, and data relationships. This helps in understanding the context and usage of master data.
