Role Summary

The Business Analyst serves as analyst for assigned company initiatives in the areas of business process reengineering, business systems technology enhancement, organizational change, and other innovative or strategic directions. This position examines current and future business needs as well as processes and procedures in order to develop or evaluate appropriate solution strategies. The Business Analyst works with internal business groups, executive management, and information technology departments to provide consultation, coordination, and/or support develops internal documentation and marketing materials in support of company projects, and assists Project Managers in completing company-wide initiatives by facilitating or coordinating corporate-wide initiatives, responsible for project tracking, reporting, managing resources, and ensuring implementation of deliverables. Additionally, this position may work with outside vendors to develop business solutions.


  • Conducts and coordinates research efforts using interviews, observation, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process reviews, impact and/or task and workflow analysis

  • Interprets and evaluates research data and develops integrated business analyses for incorporation into process improvement and strategic decision-making

  • Decomposes high-level business and user requirements into functional and system requirements

  • Prepares analysis conclusions, recommendations and presentations for a variety of audiences

  • Researches operating inefficiencies, observes trends, performs root cause analysis and provides recommendations for improvements and implementation of solution

  • Works across functions and interacts with various levels of the organization to define, develop and support business process and procedure enhancements, with a focus on continuous improvements


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or commensurate business experience

  • 3 years of experience in business systems analysis, project or team leadership, experience in one or more major business functions (Operations, Commercial, Quality, Finance, IT)

  • Facilitation experience with an understanding of business administration and ability to respond to varied agendas/shifting priorities

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and use of Information Technology to support business objectives

  • Business ethics, objective judgment, organizational, negotiation and change management skills

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at various levels in organization and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and business groups
