Looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join a great company and work alongside architects, business analysts, developers, project managers, and business SME's. You will support the development of operational reporting, business intelligence and data integration solutions. My Client is looking for someone who can maintain a deep understanding of current and new business needs and be able to translate these into requirements to shape the Data Solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Proven experience of querying, analysing and reporting on data, from multiple systems/sources

  • Support analysis and produce requirements to support project/BAU needs around data solutions

  • Ability to work with development team and produce clear, accurate documentation that combines technical and business drivers

  • Day to day working with key business stakeholders and data delivery team to convey vision and priorities and being always available for questions and support and to lead by example with best practice.

  • Communicate with internal customers, suppliers, or others as required to stay abreast of BFS change and industry best practice

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyse information needs and support the validation of solutions versus the customer need

  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Work independently, or as a team, to define concepts

  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business need and how these needs fit to the Data strategy

  • Clear passion for data quality, alerting the wider business to issues with quality of data and highlighting how the Data team or a technical solution can help improve this

  • Championing industry best practice data, tools and processes across the business

  • Intermediate understanding of T-SQL and SQL Server and ability to use SQL queries to produce Power BI reporting outputs.

  • Extended knowledge of Power BI it's capabilities and how this interacts with the BFS BI solution

  • Immediate to advanced DAX skills and ability to apply these both via Power BI reporting and directly in the analysis model

  • Proven Scrum Master capabilities supported by ability to assist in managing day to day delivery, prioritisation and benefit realisation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong team skills - you will be a key part of the Data team and need to understand the strategy as well as supporting the business to solve tactical, urgent data requirements

  • Flexible Working - you will be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, understand and respond well to change

  • Good commercial awareness

  • Advanced invoice finance and asset based lending knowledge

  • Able to develop strong and pragmatic relationships with business SMEs, to ensure that their expectations are managed and are fully appraised with progress and plans

  • Able to apply tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances

  • Treats team members, colleagues and clients with respect and in accordance with the company values at all times

  • Intermediate understanding of T-SQL and SQL Server and ability to build SQL queries that combines tables via joins and add selection criteria

  • Advanced Power BI knowledge and ability to deliver reporting using this tool

  • Advanced DAX skills with proven outputs via Power BI reports and Model additions

  • Basic knowledge of and ability to build and manage Power Apps for use in BI reporting
