Application Support Team Leader, £35,000


The Company


They are a customer-focused IT services provider and are also one of the UK's leading Dynamics NAV partners. They lend their services to organisations in need of modernising their IT and have over two decades worth of experience in providing first-class IT solutions and support to their customer base.


The company has thrived throughout the pandemic, and has big plans for the year to increase market presence. They are not only customer-focused, but employee-focused as well, investing into their employees with training programs and career development schemes.


The Role


You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Service Desk, ensuring that the targets of Service Performance are always met. You will do this through a combination of managing, developing, inspiring and motivating your Service Desk team to deliver premium support and customer services. The company is currently undertaking a massive implementation across ERP, CRM and Magento, therefore a solid background in Microsoft Dynamics Navision, or stronger experience in a similar ERP software, is vital.


Given the current state of the pandemic, the business has successfully adapted a homeworking strategy across most of their departments. You will primarily be working from home too, with the current expectation being to be onsite in their West Midlands office infrequently (once or twice a week) to carry out tasks that must be carried out in person as fitting such a leadership role. The role is initially 2 year contract, with a view to becoming extended following successful performance.


You



  • Solid foundational knowledge of NAV.

  • Background in Service/Application Support - a Leadership role would be advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of ticket handling from a 1st and 2nd line support background

  • The ability to lead and manage a team effectively

  • Excellent professional interpersonal skills, as necessitated by the nature of the role.
