Your mission is to enable the organisation to be data-driven. The current challenge is to harmonise data and enable stakeholders to absorb the information and act.
Their data platform is fully Azure based and the key technologies used in their data pipelines are Apache Spark (Scala), Azure SQL Server and Azure Data Lake Analytics. You aren't expected to have expertise or experience in all areas, but they do expect an open mind for learning and eventually be comfortable in several of them.
This position offers you a high level of responsibility and control over internal data and analysis as you will be heading up all new and existing projects, in close collaboration with stakeholders and various teams across Europe.
