A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Business Intelligence Developer to join a successful commercial organisation based in Manchester. They have recently gone through a period of expansion and, as such, are looking to continue investment in their Technology function, which they believe will be instrumental in their future success.

In this role, you will work within the Development team, focusing on the design and development of various Business Intelligence solutions utilising the full BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and Power BI. They plan to move to the Azure cloud platform in the next 6 months, which you will have the opportunity be involved in from the start.

You will work closely with Business Analysts to interpret business requirements and translate these into technical solutions - from data warehousing through to designing analysis services tabular data models for reporting purposes. A major focus of the role will be working to implement a new way of reporting, and working closely with business stakeholders to help them understand and unlock value from their data.

Please note that this will be an office-based position, five days per week, with a view to on-board the successful candidate in the coming weeks.


  • Development of SQL data warehouse

  • Developing new reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI

  • SSAS Tabular model development, to connect to Power BI reporting

  • Developing new ETL solutions using SSIS


  • SQL development experience

  • SSAS development experience - specifically developing Tabular models

  • SSIS experience for ETL

  • SSRS experience

  • Power BI & DAX experience

  • Azure experience would be desirable

This is a permanent position paying a salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience. You will be well-supported in your professional development, through hands-on training and regular catch-ups to discuss opportunities for progression.
