Senior Dynamics 365 F&O Consultant/ Analyst - Finance



100% remote role for our US Client

Job Summary:


This position reports to the IT Director and will be responsible for developing solutions for Dynamics AX / 365 in Financial Systems in a Manufacturing environment. The Analyst will demonstrate a deep overall knowledge of the platform and possess a proven track record of successfully implementing financial systems.



Working closely with the technology, finance, and manufacturing teams your responsibilities would include providing functional, gap and fit analysis with Dynamics AX/ 365. Additionally, writing specifications for development and testing.



Major Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical and functional support for Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations in production and non-production environments

  • Customize and develop different modules including AR, AP, GL, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Warehouse Management, Procurement and Sourcing modules.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define data and Business Intelligence requirements

  • Use Power BI to transform, load and visualize data from numerous sources



  • Prepare functional requirements by analyzing current workflows to improve the quality and efficiency of the application.



  • Author design documentation, assess technical feasibility for proposed solution



Skills & Requirements:



  • A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or similar

  • Knowledge of and experience working with finance and accounting processes

  • Knowledge of and experience working with Manufacturing processes

  • Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau



  • Experience with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and related Microsoft tools such as Power Pivot



  • Should have good knowledge on data modeling

  • Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau

  • Familiarity to perform minor coding changes and tweaks.

  • 2+ years of project management related experience.

  • Understanding of requirement gathering and testing of web-based applications and SaaS services.

  • Experience in creating requirements specifications based on Architecture/ Design / Detailing of ERP Business Processes.

  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting Use Cases using tools like Confluence.

  • 3-5+ years of experience with X++, SSRS, MS SQL Server and proficiency with AX database structure is preferred

  • Experience in MS Visual Studio is preferred.
