My client is a wholesale retailer operating in the UK. They're currently on the look out for a new Head of IT to join their team, due to internal progression.
Ownership of the IT Helpdesk.
Devise and manage IT budget.
Devise and agree IT Strategy with Senior Management Team.
Devise, establish and maintain all technology policies and systems.
Analyse the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs today and in the future.
Collaborate with key leader to define business and systems requirements, potential technical solutions and recommended technical approaches for internal application and infrastructure implementation.
Develop business case rationalisations and cost/benefit analysis for IT investments and initiatives.
Facilitate best-practice asset management for all IT hardware, software and equipment.
Relationship management across all infrastructure and development partners and suppliers.
Full responsibility for the implementation of and on-going availability of all infrastructure and infrastructure support services.
Responsibility for the delivery of all technology projects.
Ownership of the on-going compliance with regulation, best practice and quality standards.
Ownership of GDPR related aspects within the IT areas; ensuring on-going compliance and security of the Company's data
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
Significant interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and motivate.
Ability to troubleshoot complex scenarios.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2016.
Strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, a premises Active Directory, Group Policy and other windows networking technologies.
Experience of VMWARE, VSphere 6.5
Networking, firewall and VPN Configuration.
Storage and backup - onsite and cloud solutions.
MS SQL Server.
Handheld computer: setup and configuration of warehouse handheld scanners.
