Senior Backend Developer, Gothenburg

Do you want to be part of a growing company?

The Nordic Region's largest operator of loyalty programmes is looking to add to their development team.

Currently working remotely for the safety of their own staff, developers normal work in-house at my client's HQ in central Gothenburg.

Projects here are a hybrid between product developing and in-house consulting - these guys provide a full outsourcing service for loyalty programmes including gathering requirements, architecture, developing and maintaining code and hosting solutions.

Your time would be split between developing features for their core product and then applying said feature to their customer's tailormade solutions. Projects can last from 4-6 years as these guys operate for the full lifecycle for the product. (Making you, the developer, responsible for your own code base and making higher-level decisions and responsibilities.)

What are they looking for?

For these guys seniority is not about the number of years you have been working it is about what you have done in those years. Have you had architectural responsibilities? Or full control over the product lifecycle before? (if the answer to these questions is yes, you are probably perfect for the role!)

For a senior back end developer, they would ideally like to see someone who has professional experience with:

  • PHP (7.4) and a modern framework - Symfony, Laravel or Magento

  • SQL - MySQL, Postrgres etc.

  • Building and working with APIs - GraphQL, REST, SOAP

  • Git

Please note - this is a Swedish speaking role.

How they enjoy work

On top of being employed fulltime developer here enjoy working in a close-knit team. Your colleagues tend to stick around to there is a true sense of culture here as they go out for afterwork activities as well as having a pool-table in the office.

These guys are passionate about technology, following new trends and are constantly upskilling themselves. Due to the nature of their product and business model, developers here enjoy a good mix between the familiarity of a product company mixed with the diversity of consulting.

Your job package would also include health insurance, a pension, a wellness allowance, and discounts from their suppliers. (And a free bus card or bicycle depending on how you like to get around.)
