2nd Line Support Engineer- 35k- South West London

Job Description

A growing and diverse IT Consultancy in South West London are looking to add an experience 2nd Line Engineer to their team to deal with increasing demand. They provide solutions and support to small to medium sized companies using a variety of technologies. This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop, learn new skills and test yourself with some 3rd Line problems.

Role & Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with the Support Team ensuring that service quality is delivered and that continuous service improvement is a key focus.

  • Act as a team technical escalation point and resolving more complex incidents from the 1st line.

  • Ensure good working knowledge of Infrastructure, Networking and monitoring tools.

  • Project work as and when required.

  • Ensure that a strong customer service ethos is provided.

  • Update Security and Network information to accurately account for changes in infrastructure

  • Test and rollout updates to firewalls, routers and server systems.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a 2nd Line role

  • Office 365

  • Windows Server (2012 onwards)

  • Networking & Firewalls

  • Mac

  • Hyper-V or VMWare


  • Basic salary up to 35k
