Data Engineer - Bromley

Frank Recruitment Group have been approached to hire for a skilled Data Engineer with exposure to AWS technologies, as the client look to redesign their Data Platform onto AWS to help them look forward into the future and get value from their data.

You'll work as part of a small team of Data Engineers as part of the much wider Data Platform transformation team, including Data Architects, Data Scientists, Testers, Platform Engineers, DevOps engineers and Machine Learning Specialists. You'll be responsible for creating effective Data Pipelines and Database Design, working with both SQL and NoSQL technologies. The company are particularly focused on creating a platform that enables Data Science initiatives and AI technologies to help benefit both the company and the customer.

You'll be office-based in Bromley, with occasional home-working available.

Key Skills include:

* Experience in creating high-performance Data Pipelines and ETL's, capable of working with large volumes of data
* Experience with AWS NoSQL technologies, ideally DynamoDB
* Experience developing in Python, and ideally Scala
* Experience of working in an Agile Environment, including tools such as Jira and Confluence

Understanding and experience of AWS cloud storage and computing platform (especially S3, Athena, Redshift, Glacier, EMR, EC2, RDS).

This is a Permanent role, offering a starting salary of around £60,000 plus competitive benefits.
