Data Engineer - Cambridge - £35-40k

This role is one where your responsibilities will be varied and challenging. Your primary focus will be to provide data analysis and project management to various teams in the business, including Finance and Business Development. Along with this you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the commercial SQL Server platform. You should have a high level of SQL knowledge which you will use daily to support and develop the database environment. Your role will be fast-paced and you will be expected to develop QA measures and assist with their testing as well as researching/testing solutions to provide an improved performance analysis.
The team have recently introduced Power BI and a big part of your role will involve utilisng your SQL Server skills to ensure that data pipelines are ready for the Data Visualisation teams to begin developing reports and dashboards. As such you will be involved in a variety of projects to ensure the objectives are delivered effectively. This role has a big commercial focus and you should expect to be required to gather the appropriate knowledge to deliver the most effective solutions for customers.
You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the strategic business intelligence commercial journey of this company and work alongside a highly qualified team of technical and commercial specialists with a wide variety of experience.
You should have proven experience using SQL Server, SSMS, MS Excel, data quality and report development. Project management experience and knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies would be desirable.
