A company that makes a difference in the lives of their customers, their business partners, and their community is one that deserves respect, and some of the best talent there is. Come work for a company that offers technology solutions to all different types of industries (you'll never get bored), while also boasting a great work-life balance on their Glassdoor reviews. This client works with some very well-known companies, such as Cisco, Duo, Microsoft, and Dell, meaning they are not only experts at what they do, but they also work with top-notch, cutting edge technology.
Are you ready to work remotely while still getting to be hands-on with the latest technology? This Azure Architect role gives you the platform to work directly with leadership, consultants, and customers to deliver projects and adopt new technologies, all with a focus on Azure cloud infrastructure. You would be working collaboratively with a talented team of individuals, while being able to see the implementation of your work through travelling about half of the work week.
Your role mainly focuses on helping companies plan and deliver Azure solutions through IaaS and PaaS. You would need to work with the sales team members and the companies in order to understand their needs for the specific project at hand, leading to a customised solution for that specific problem. If you enjoy using technology to help solve problems, and you enjoy talking with others, this role would be a great fit for you. You would become the subject matter expert and guide for your customers to ensure that the solution being offered is exactly what they had in mind; this includes creating and implementing a solution road map.
You will be mentoring others to help with their professional development, and assisting the development of your project specifications. While speaking to clients, you will need to be able to develop pre-sales materials, project plans, work breakdown structures, and rate cards.
As to the sorts of qualifications for this job… Please have Azure experience (IaaS and PaaS), as well as experience in cloud architecture and design. You must be able to obtain and maintain vendor certifications, and have knowledge of virtual and physical appliances (e.g. routers, firewalls, etc.), as well as knowledge of LAN, WAN, and IPVPN. Strong interpersonal skills, as well as problem solving skills are a necessity to succeed in this role. You will have to be able to sell Azure solutions to high-up decision-makers.
