Position Overview:

My client is looking for a hands-on senior IT professional, with experience leading a successful IT department. This person will partner with our business leaders to define and prioritize key technology initiatives based on current and future business needs. They will manage the execution of these global initiatives, while communicating relevant project information to business leaders. This is an onsite role in our Boston office.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the liaison between internal business units, managed services, and any other third-party vendors
  • Create, maintain, and document all standardized corporate IT practices, policies, and procedures
  • Manage and oversee the managed services and external development team
  • Ensure that company websites, internal and external (e.g., cloud) platforms, and service endpoints function properly and are available to users at all times
  • Coordinate and manage outside vendors and suppliers, and licensed services and products
  • Oversee the launch of solutions to minimize transition disruption and maximize business outcomes
  • Create and define our annual global technology roadmap/strategy
  • Prepare and actively manage project cost estimates, schedule/timelines, and department budgets and forecasts
  • Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Create and maintain our disaster recovery and business continuity plan
  • Ensure Company compliance with GDPR
  • Ensure Company compliance with the Cerulli WISP
  • Remain knowledgeable about current technology trends and challenges, and determine when and how the company might benefit from emerging technologies
  • Direct all internal training/education on IT policies

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ leading technology strategies and professionals
  • Experience with small/medium-sized business with an international workforce
  • Prior experience leading/managing technology third-party vendors
  • Firm understanding of Cloud computing, storage, and networking
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform is a must: CRM, SharePoint, and Azure
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to suggest technological best/proven practices
  • Cognizant of how plans and processes will impact the organization, and keep communications and delivery systems simplified and cost effective
  • Exudes a "no task is too big or too small" attitude, with initiative, commitment, reliability, and positivity

  • Exceptional customer service skills along with transparent and effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical initiatives/solutions to non-technical senior leaders
  • Working knowledge of Java is a plus
