The Dynamics Experience 2012 Event was held in The Netherlands, last month and it was a great success all round.

Nigel Frank International were there as Silver Sponsors of the event, and also two of our consultants attended as speakers.

NAV consultant for The Netherlands, Liesl described the event as "a great success and a brilliant opportunity for networking opportunities and knowledge sharing".

Nigel Frank Ranked 2nd Best Company to Work for in New York State

Nigel Frank have beaten off strong competition to be ranked 2nd in our category for the award for Best Place to Work in New York State.

Following nomination earlier this year, Nigel Frank International have been ranked 2nd out of the 26 small-medium companies in our category. The 2012 list is made up of 50 organisationssplit into two groups: 26 small/medium-sized employers with 15-249 employees in the United States and 24 large-sized companies of 250 or more U.S. employees.

At the awards ceremony on Thursday 26th April 2012, Nigel Frank International received their ranking, Director of Americas, Kevin Jarvis, said “This is our first year entering The Best Companies to Work For in New York awards program, to come 2nd is a fantastic achievement and something that everyone here can be really proud of."

He went on to give a special mention to the management team who "have done an amazing job of creating a fun and rewarding results driven workplace. We have huge growth plans and I am sure this award will help us to continue to attract the best talent in NYC and beyond.”

Microsoft set up joint venture with Barnes and Noble

Microsoft have teamed up with Barnes and Noble to challenge Amazon and Apple in the rapidly expanding e-book market.

The move will see a Nook application on the windows 8 platform including Microsoft’s tablet device due later this year and is now likely to take a prime location on the new Windows 8 tile screen.

The Nook currently makes up for about 25% of the e-reader market and with e-books estimated to already account for almost 20% of the market this could be a very shrewd move with huge potential and new areas to explore in the future.

Microsoft and Ariba: Leading the Way into a Networked Economy

It has been announced that Ariba Inc. and Microsoft Corp are coming together in a deal that will enable millions to network and communicate throughout the commerce process.

It is now more important than ever for businesses to look past the standard foundations of enterprise into a cloud based, social format. It is with this in mind that Microsoft have paired up with the leading provider of collaborative business commerce solutions.

The move means that users of Microsoft AX will, with the development of a new adaptor, gain access to the Ariba network allowing them to connect and collaborate more efficiently and effectively throughout the commerce process.

Microsoft Team up with Lotus F1

Lotus F1 Team has announced that they are joining forces with Microsoft for a three-year partnership, with immediate effect. The Microsoft Dynamics logo is to feature prominently on both the Lotus F1 Team cars and the drivers' overalls.

This is an unusually high profile move for Microsoft Dynamics and could demonstrate that Microsoft are driving towards some agressive growth targets for their business solutions division, and are keen to raise awareness of the Dynamics products as part of their growth strategy.

Hal Howard of Microsoft Dynamics said Microsoft were "revved up about working with the Lotus F1 team", who are also a Microsoft Dynamics AX customer and provide Microsoft with the agile and cutting edge profile they want for their Dynamics products.

Lotus F1 CEO, Patrick Louis, said "Lotus F1 Team is extremeley proud to have atttracted Microsoft Dynamics as a business and sponsorship partner".

The partnership will debut at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, in Melbourne, this Sunday (18th March).
