    Dynamics NAV/BC Business Analyst

    Remote in California

    Joining a small team, the NAV/BC Administrator will manage the development, troubleshooting, organization, and documentation of our NAV environment catering to end users. The role involves preparing for and transitioning to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Dealing with intricate business requirements, the candidate will employ software best practices and past experiences to devise innovative, efficient, and robust solutions. Proficiency in accounting practices is preferred for tasks involving NAV page, table, and report editing. Necessary skills include proficiency in Jet Reports, Excel, SQL (SSRS and SSMS), Power BI, and web services.

    Responsibilities:

    * Plan, design, develop, test, maintain, and support solutions by analyzing business processes and creating functional processes in NAV.
    * Utilize development skills to solve business problems and build robust solutions.
    * Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform to effectively contribute to solution design, configuration, testing, implementation, and documentation.
    * Create technical/system/training documentation adhering to standards and conventions.
    * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, Project Managers, and IT staff to define project scope/milestones and develop business solutions.
    * Coordinate vendors' time across multiple projects and communicate requirements clearly.
    * Communicate technical issues effectively to non-technical individuals and understand requirements from end users and business consultants.
    * Monitor project progress, resolve issues, publish progress reports, and recommend actions.
    * Undertake other tasks/projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    * 3+ years experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or related ERP system.
    * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, or 5+ years of on-the-job experience with Accounting, NAV, and/or related systems.
    * Proficiency in report writing within NAV, BC, SQL, and/or Jet Reports.
    * Proficiency in SQL query writing and C/AL exposure.
    * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
    * Strong communication skills to interact with all departments and management levels.
    * Ability to understand both business and technical requirements.
    * Understanding of Accounting fundamentals and related business requirements.
    * Analytical skills to assess development progress.
    * Strong attention to detail and writing skills for SOP creation.
    * Experience with Word, Excel, and other MS products.
    * Excellent independent time management and organizational skills.

    Your New Role:

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    * Extensive experience in D365 development, with a focus on X++, creation and modification, and unit testing, including at least few years on D365 F&O.
    * Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL (Significant professional experience).
    * Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (Considerable experience).
    * Development experience for at least two D365 implementations that achieved go-live, with at least one being on-premise.
    * Proficient in troubleshooting database performance issues.
    * Experience in installation/configuration & upgrades.
    * Familiarity with LCS and deployments.
    * Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
    * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    * On-call availability required.



    Preferred Qualifications:

    * General business process and development knowledge in finance areas such as GL, AP, and AR.
    * Experience with inventory and Warehouse Management support.
    * Familiarity with manufacturing and MRP processes.
